Create a Webmail Account

Create a Webmail Account

1. Choose a service for your e-mail account. Popular services include Gmail, Yahoo! Mail, and Hotmail. I use
Gmail in this example.
2. Go to the Web site of the service you want and click the
sign-up link.
3. Enter the information required for the e-mail account,
including your full name, your username, your password, and any other security information. You’re also asked to agree to it’s the site’s
terms of service.
Read over the terms of service before agreeing. You should always
know what you’re getting into, and you need to know how Google
or another service might share your information.
4. After your account is set up, you can access your account
by returning to the site and logging in.
Webmail accounts may also grant access to programs such as
Windows Mail or to mobile devices, depending on how they want
their accounts to be used. Check with your service and shop around
to make sure that you get what you want.
Webmail is advantageous because you can access it from any computer at any time, just by going to the site. If you prefer a more private service or you already have an e-mail account, use Windows
Mail or Outlook from the Microsoft Office 2007 suite
