Manage the Devices

on Your Computer

 

1. Click the Start button and right-click the Computer line. Choose Manage from the pop-up
menu.
2. Click to select Device Manager in the left column of the
Computer Management window that appears.
3. The Device Manager window shows a complete list of
devices installed on your computer.
A device that has a problem displays an exclamation point on its
icon. Possible problems include incorrectly installed software and
hardware malfunctions.
If a device that you feel should be shown isn’t listed in this window,
make sure that the connection to your laptop is secure and the
device is powered on.
4. To see the devices attached to each category, click the
plus sign to expand the list.
5. Right-click a device’s icon to update the driver software,
uninstall a device, or check the device’s properties
