Activate the Windows Sidebar
1. Click the Start button and click the All Programs link.
2. Click the Accessories folder to expand it and view its
contents.
3. Click the Windows Sidebar link.
4. The Windows Sidebar, appears on
the right side of the screen by default.
5. Right-click the Sidebar and choose Properties to change
its options, including which side of the screen it uses
and whether it’s displayed on top of all other windows.
6. You can add widgets to the Sidebar by right-clicking and
choosing Add Widgets.
Widgetsare functions that appear in the Sidebar, including clocks
and newsfeeds and other cool gizmos.
The Sidebar uses system resources. If you don’t use a widget, close
it and, from the Properties menu you open in Step 5, set it not to
open again.
