Change Your Start Menu View
1. Right-click the taskbar and choose Properties.
2. At the top of the window, select the Start Menu tab.
3. Your first choice is Start menu, the default. Your other
choice is Classic Start Menu, which is associated more
with Windows XP and earlier Microsoft operating systems. If you want to work with Classic view, click the
Classic Start menu radio button. Otherwise, you can
leave this option alone.
4. To change individual details about either the Classic or
default Start menu, click the Customize button next to
the view you chose. The Customize Start Menu dialog
box appears.
The details available for customization depend on which view you
choose.
5. After you finish your customization, click OK to save
your chosen options.
You can easily undo any customization you choose by just backtracking and deselecting your choices. Don’t be afraid to experiment and try different options.
