Search Your Laptop’s Contents

 

1. Click the Start button and locate the Start Search field at
the bottom of the menu.
2. Type the name of the program or file you’re looking for.
3. As you type, your available choices show up on the
menu. The number of choices grows smaller as you continue typing.
4. Click on the choice you want to access to start the program or access the file, as shown in Figure 6-6.
5. To see more results than are shown on the menu (due
to space restrictions), click the See All Results link.
The Start Search tool can be a quick and handy way to find files hidden away in a long string of folders. A few quick keystrokes can
save you a lot of time.
6. To expand your search to the world at large, click the
Search the Internet link.
