Create a Strong and

Secure Password

 

1. Click the Start button and choose Control Panel?Add
or Remove User Accounts.
2. Select the account you want to change and select the
Create A Password link.
3. Enter a new password in the text box that’s displayed. Strong passwords include
• Capitalized characters
• Numbers and symbols
• Multiple words or chunks of text with spaces between
them
• Random but memorable strings of characters
4. In the Type a Password Hint field, enter a hint that will
prompt you if you forget your password.
Do not include your password in the hint field. That’s the same as
giving it away!
5. Click the Create Password button to enter your password. Notice how your choice has changed from Create
a Password to Change the Password.
6. Repeat Steps 1-5 to change your password.
Don’t forget your password. Having to change it later can cause
problems when you want to access your account and its files
