Log In and Out of a User Account

 

1. If a laptop has more than one account on it, you see
icons for each account. Click the icon for the account
you want to access.
2. Enter the password for the account and click OK.
3. To log out of an account, click the Start button and then
click the arrow button in the lower-right corner of the
menu.
4. Select Log Off to exit your account.
If you have any open programs or files, you may be prompted to
close and save them before the account logs out. To avoid see this
prompt, close all programs before you try to log out.
5. If more than one user will use your laptop in quick succession, choose Switch User from the menu.
Choosing Switch User lets you leave programs and files open while
another user is active.
6. Click the account you want to log in to and enter your
password.
7. When you’re done, you can log out or switch back to
the original account, depending on your needs.
